WATER DRESS.
TEXTILES\WATER\
PRODUCTION\PROCESS
Created during an artist residency on Toronto Island, Water Dresses explores the design possibilities of working with natural processes and events - namely the Toronto Island flood of 2017 which left parts of the island impassable.
Nature’s transformative qualities can be slow or fast, productive or destructive. There were in the beginning eight Storm Dresses, only seven came home, one was swept away by the flood.
