SOCIAL PRODUCT.
\ POLITICAL SPACE \ DISCOURSE \ PRODUCTION \
As part of a Visiting Designer Position at Syracuse University, Ruth Spitzer transformed her office to
an open deliberation space, she coined “Social Product”. Inspired by the history of Syracuse through industrial fabrication for example Oneida Limited
and the nowadays moment of reset, it seemed
a good moment to discuss ideas of work, production methods and how design relates to it.
With the transformation of the office space, which usually is used for administration and consultation, into a conceptualized ‘model one’ space through creating literally a blanc slate, Ruth Spitzer created through abstraction room for speculation.
