MOTHERSHIP + SPIDER GIRL.
RESPONSIVE/ GROW OP / LAB / HABITAT / COMMUNITY
Both alien in heritage and character, the Spider plant is one of the best plants for cleaning interior air. Owning and tending to houseplants is a healthy activity. They help us breathe, keep us healthy, increase productivity, clean the air, and boost healing.
Mother Ship + Spider-Girl is an active/passive installation comprised of a Spider-Girl equipped with a portable nursery/dispensing tray and a Mother Ship docking installation. Spider-Girl will hand out young Spider Plants to willing patrons at scheduled intervals. Each young spider plant will be dispensed with planting and care instructions in a florist tube. When not used, the nursery tray will dock at the Mother Ship/mature Spider Plant to create a suspended installation. In this mode, additional young plants will be added to the installation.
