POCHE.
FOLD / FLOOR PLAN / SPATIAL / DRAWING
This situation uses a single-room floor plan of Crouse College at the University of Syracuse, designed by Archimedes Russell in 1888. It serves as a device for deconstructive spatial configuration. Folding the canvas allows the poché to traverse from the interior to the exterior, revealing new spaces and potential functionalities.
Hegel states: “But, in fact, in the alteration of the knowledge, the object itself alters for it too, for the knowledge that was present was essentially a knowledge of the object: as the knowledge changes, so too does the object, for it essentially belonged to this knowledge.” (Hegel, 1977, Miller, p. 54)
